Map Size

We need to know what size the map should be.

Effects of map size:

- Big maps slow down the president's computer (but most of us don't care ).
- Big maps favor financial civs, small maps favor aggressive civs.
- Small maps are more likely to end the game before time runs out.
- For "normal" unit movement, you should choose a map size that matches the game speed. Small=Quick, Standard=Normal, Large=Epic, Huge=Marathon. You can really mess up warfare with combinations like Small/Marathon or Huge/Quick.

It seems, then, that we should enter a vote that will be compatible with any of the civs on our "top 5" list.

If we go with the financial trait for all our choices, we could vote Normal Speed, Big Map.

And honestly, with 5 teams, it would be nice to have some breathing room for mystery on the map.

I voted large.

This team seems to like the financial trait - and thus: the bigger the better.

I'm a little leary of "huge" - we DO want this game to end while we're still alive. (Although, maybe we could train our children to take over for us when we're dead and gone?)

I vote large, I like large maps anyway, and it's a necessity if we are planning not to be as much of a warmonger civ as others might be.

Is this something that Serian will decide, or is this a UN decision though?

Normality Rulzs.

What exactly is normal?

Conforming with, adhering to, or constituting a norm, standard, pattern, level, or type; typical: normal room temperature; one's normal weight; normal diplomatic relations.
