Tripa, chill out, dude.

Civ 3 being really [bad] is certainly a possibility. However, there is a major difference between what CTP1/2 did and what civ 3 plans to do. CTP1/2 were designed as expansion sets; civ 3 is supposed to be a whole new game.

Nonetheless, the potential for failure is a very likely possibility. That's why Firaxis is so intent on learning what we want from it and it's also why they are spending so much time on the project.

Should Civ 3 be an absolute disaster, there will be no more Civilization as we know it (that's a double meaning ). However should civ 3 be a success we can well expect a fourth, fifth, twentieth.

CTP is just a civilization rip-off. It's not even apart of the civilization series that's why it sucks now maybe if Sid Meier would've worked on it it would be decent, but both CTP1 and CTP2 suck. CTP2 sucks because the idiots who made it the bother taking out so many bugs. And it sucks because its apart of the Call to Power series. Civ3 will not suck it will be great because Sid is running the show. And trippa you need to calm down and take your medication. Your not making any friends here.

Hey Tripa I'll put my faith in a money macking Sid then A Sid that had know interest in money because if Sid is doing it just for the money which i can not say he is or isan't cause I dont know Sid personly but Iam sure that is not the case.

If Sid made a S*#T Civ III there would be little money so if money is his thang then He will be aiming to release that is the best ever to make lots of money.

I bet Activision is wondering where all there profits when on CTP 1&2.

I understand your concern, but we can never know if Civ III will be good or not

But I believe that Sid is putting all his best into the game, and that the vision of Firaxis is to make Civ III the best Strategy Game ever... They need to make profit, it is their job - but I also believe that it is not JUST for the money, but also that they LOVE TO MAKE games, and do it with all their heart, and - of course - Sid is the in computer gaming (or should it be game development )

Man tripa those are fightn' words. You know your opinions affend a lot of people. I'm not saying your wrong to do so..but man those remarks got on my nerves.

I think that there are enough people watching the development of CivIII for it to be a total flop.

I mean we all hold our breath for any
bit of new information from Firaxis or who evers developing it.

Anyway with all the reviews and attention it's getting i think will know whether it's going to be good or bad..just won't know how good or bad.

And opinions of the game totally differ.. where you may not like it at all (I'm not saying that's true) someone else may love it and think it's the coolest game ever b/c it fits their taste.
