I managed to make it through the first night in my own apartment. Still have to get used to the fact that my father is in better hands (with my mother) and I won't have to spend as much time trying to make sure he's okay.

I finished my Yale 250 essay and completed the law school applications for Yale, Stanford and NYU. Columbia and Chicago were already up a few days ago and I have to wait until the 15th for Harvard.

There's only Government left, but that's for tomorrow.

The sun has fallen down, and the billboards are all leering, and the flags are all dead at the top of their poles. It went like this: The buildings tumbled in on themselves. Mothers clutching babies, picked through the rubble and pulled out their hair. The skyline was beautiful on fire, all twisted metal stretching upwards. Everything washed in a thin orange haze. I said; "Kiss me, you're beautiful - these are truly the last days." You grabbed my hand and we fell into it, like a daydream or a fever. We woke up one morning and fell a little further down, for sure it's the valley of death. I open up my wallet and it's full of blood. |

I finally figured out all the little nuances and details of differentiation and optimization. I don't know why it took so long, it's not that hard once you apply yourself to it. In any case, what a relief!
