Arrow Why can't you quote a quote?

Most other forums, when you click "quote", when its gets to your post, any quote the original poster had, is included aswell, rather than just quoted what they had said.

I know this stops quote pyramids, bit it does mean sometimes its confusing when the subject is not included in the quote, so you only get a snippet if info.

So, yeah.. why

I believe you have to manualy add in the quotes when youre quoting a quote in someone else's post.

well in PM's you wuote yourself automatically but it also used to work like that but you got incredibly long posts followed by 'i agree'

I remember being on one forum where eveyone was trying to find out the limite of a quote pyramid. It was quite funny, but it would be annoying if it did continue for a long time though.
