Because you had odd socks before the wash as well?
 
Your washing machine is actually a time machine, set up in a specific way that it only works on socks. It makes socks dissapear and reappear at random times. Most washing machines are like this. That's why they cost so much. It's amazing how they've managed to keep it secret for so long considering the evidence is so in your face.
 
All socks in the universe that get lost go to the same place.

The big sock blackhole in space. There is a galaxy made up intirely of socks running around a black hole

It sounds like pure spam, plain and simple.

In fact, this thread has already taught me a good deal. For example, the fact that 15 people actually voted on this poll suggests to me that CFCers have either way too much free time or very boring jobs.
