Help with music - Harvest of the nile
hi, i would like to ask you for something. and i would be internally owe to you if you could help me.
i played Civilization II 10 years ago and what really made it for me was the music - the sound track - mostly the music "Harvest of the Nile"  a couple of years later when i bought a new PC i tried to run my CD of Civilization II on it - but the music didn't work even thou i put it on "ON" i have tried about forever so i would work at least once so i could record this music - but without success.   i have tried to find this music (and the entire sound-track) on the web but couldn't find it - and i miss it so much.  so could someone have or can record it and upload it somewhere like rapidshare or something or perhaps help finding it.  this is not a piracy message since i am not asking for the game and more over i have bought it legally.  please (look how nice i am asking!  ) can you help me on this one??

Have you tried putting the disc in a regular (music) CD player? Does it play then? They're music tracks on a data CD. You could try ripping the music like you would a normal music CD.
That would work if your CD isn't damaged and it's just Civ2 being funny anyway. |

Civ II Music
If you liked those songs, you might want to check out CDs called The Atlantis Factor by Mark Dwayne and Mystery School by Zazen. (At one point when I was a Civ II addict I replaced the original music with these tracks...!)
Also, if you like the Fantasy track on Civ II, see if you can find a song called The First Night (1994 Artist : STEPHAN MICUS Album : ATHOS); it samples the haunting echoey horn sound. Last edited by Barsoomian; Aug 20, 2006 at 11:30 AM. |

There are songs on Youtube - I've created a playlist for myself because the originals songs are not on my Civ2!!!
