Wonder moved!
Hey civfanatics,
I noticed something funny yesterday. I'm playing as Incans and I'm attempting a domination/conquest game. I built Stonehenge very early on in the game. After I built it, I could see it in the tile exactly South of my city. So about a thousand years go by, and then I notice that Stonehenge is gone from that tile! Instead, it's in the tile exactly West of my city! I could post screenshots to prove it, but I figure this is one of those goofy little CIV things that many of you have seen already. Well, have you?

Since buildings and wonders are different size, the game is trying to group them to make the smallest city footprint, and that happen everytime you build something.

It happens when you enter a new era too as the building graphics change.

![]() personally, i'd like to see (ancient) wonders being built way outside the cities, so that during the game, the urban sprawl slowly reaches it. moving pyramids around seems stupid to me |

Whenever you build something, the game readjusts the little buildings and such in the city.

I see it happen all the time. Buildings ending up on hills and mountains, more so when they are fairly large. It's just one of those little nigging graphical things.

Quite unfamiliar

I think the ancient wonders should end up in a city radius tile so they don't move, and to make them slightly unique compared to the regular buildings.

agreed. I wish that all wonders stayed put through the whole game (all of history) and the cities were built around the wonders instead. That would be less distracting.

Who looks at the stupid city graphics? (This ain't SimCity.) How does this advance the war? Stop wasting time on such things and spend it on giving your units cute names like "Spike Nard" and "Meso Potomania".
