As always, amazing work!
![]() My only problem with it is that you make so many flags with the secondary civcolor as background (remember my problem earlier with the German Adler?), which I don't understand because it just seems wrong to me to have an empire's flag showing mostly a different color from the borders on the map. I would just change the flags myself but I haven't found out how to do it in GIMP and last time I tried I got completely tired of working on flags and alpha channels. For some reason my technique produces files of size 65k while all other flags I've seen are 22k Wish someone could tell me what's the proper way to gimp a flag decal...Anyway if you could include a primary-color-as-background version of the German Adler and Orthodox Cross in the next pack, I would be very grateful! |

thanks
![]() i think that in most cases the symbol looks better with the primary color. in my personell mod i've added some civs with the background as secondary and the symbol as primary color. but also everyone has different tastes about that. i don't know why gimp makes such problems, i don't use it. but i would recommend DXTBmp. it works perfectly and doesn't make any problems. or perhaps you find anyone who can tell you how to work with flag-graphics in gimp. in the new pack i started last week i've a lot of crosses in it, also the orthodox cross. perhaps i will do a double-version for every flag. a background-primary/symbol-secondary and background-secondary/symbol-primary color. so everyone can choose the version he wants.

The raven for the Vikings is perfect! The sagas tell us that Ragnar Lodbrok's banner was a raven. His sons used it too.

For some reason I can't get these to work. The flag turns BLACK, no symbol.

![]() no, i don't do them from scratch. i take images which i find in the internet, on my older pc or on flags. for some of them i haven't to do any work that they will look good, for the most i have to do more or less work for good looking and some other i alter a little bit. i will try on your 2 requests for the next pack ![]() Quote:

It will be somewhere in the XML, probably the lookup for the flag file. I had the same problem, took about 2 hours to notice that in the file path I'd tyed TeamColour instead of TeamColor

Hmm. I copied the path (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V). I even tried putting the flag I wanted in the actual Warlords flags folder. Still no joy.
EDIT: Ah, didn't see your response there, 0d1n3oo3Broad. I'll try again tomorrow or later this week. I'll have a look at what the <bWhiteFLag> tag says. I was trying to get the 'falke_2' one as the flag for the Vikings. (And I thought it was a raven! I know enough German to realise it must be a falcon. Oh well )
