Warlords XML load Problem
Hi all- I've been keeping an eye on bug reports for the last week, but haven't seen anyone with a problem similar to mine, so decided to go ahead and post.
When I installed my copy of Warlords, I was able to start the game and begin a Vikings scenario with no problems. I saved and had to leave, and then when I came back and decided to continue playing, I got series of errors during startup: Failed Loading XML file xml\text\civ4gametextinfos.cml. [.\FXml.cpp:133] Error parsing XML file- File: xml\text\civ4gametextinfos.xml Reason: Switch from current encoding to specified encoding not supported. Line: 1.44 Source: ?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"? It goes on like that through every text file. The game loads fine otherwise, I've started scenarios and they're "playable"- it's just that none of the text exists outside of the placeholder text- so while you kind of know what it's talking about, there are no specifics. I tried an uninstall/reinstall, and I've had no luck whatsoever. Any ideas on how to fix this? I'd really kind of like to play the game, you know, since I paid for it and all.  Thanks in advance! |
