Warlords

Just wanted to start a Warlords thread. I don't know how many of the regular TAM crowd has played the Warlords expansion yet but hopefully soon there will be enough of a critical mass to make a compatible version for TAM necessary. Also, by having a thread I (and everyone else who subscribes to this thread) will have a good way to keep track of any progress on this through emails when the thread is updated.

As for myself, I bought Warlords, and already started working in this direction for the graphics.

I already got a couple of units done (mainly boats).
And the new HUDs will look quite cool IMO.

Of course all these will also be included in the plain Civ4 version, apart from models derived from Warlord specific units (ie: Trireme)...

I'm only waiting for Sqype and Keith to make a Warlord compatible TAM

We actually don't know yet. We're in the process of discussing the new features that we will use, like unique buildings, right now.

When I was playing on the huge map, I actually thought to myself "Man, I wish I could capitulate that empire." The rest of the cities were in crappy locations, ones that I didn't want to commit soldiers to capturing. Vassal states would be a nice inclusion, maybe you could modify it to make it a little more appealing than how it is in Warlords.

I've used the capitulate option in the Rise of Rome mod that comes with Warlords and it was very usefull. Also reflect the use of auxillary troops when your vassels join you at times of war.

This is a good example of how the mod community is good for Civ 4. I probably won't bother to buy the expansion pack until TAM: Warlords comes out. I'm interested in it on its own, but I only have so much money...

I got warlords for $25 at Best Buy which is pretty reasonable concidering what you get. I wish all expansions were like that.

I am also waitning for TAM to be made compatable with Warlords. The map from the Peloponnesian War would make a nice scenario map for TAM that concentrates on Greece and Asia Minor.

I'm finish with the XML conversion of TAM to Warlords. I can't give you an estimated release time, but seeing that it's going waaayyy faster than I first expected, let's say that I'll have it for you guys probably during next week.

Wow you already finished with the XML? I won't get to help now... But I do have plenty of ideas to fix up the civics and the leader traits, and once the Warlords version is posted I will get to work on my scenarios.

Other then the Great Wall, I can't see too much Warlords content that would not be real cool in TAM.

Of course we're still here There's still a lot of programming work to do before TAM Warlords is finished. Don't despair, it will come out asap.

I'm assuming ubs won't be in this first version but the next. Another big question on my mind, is will you be using warlord graphics? For example theres a pretty kickass siege tower with warlords that looks a bit moe polished than the current one.

As soon as ÈI have TAM Warlords ready, I'll go trough the units and buildings and use the best looking graphics possible. And yes, I saw these siege towers, they'll be in
