Does difficulty level affect the Senate?
I know if affects citizen attitude, the research speed of the AI, and how much information you get from the intelligence report.
But at the higher levels, is the Senate peacenik problem worse? And are your spies less effective and the AI's more effective? |

I don't know about chieftain level, but above that, the senate is the senate. Peace at any price...Its consistant at all levels.

Ali: you are correct. I cannot recall anyone posting research on different difficulty levels effecting the senate either.
I suspect this is because the senate effect is a given in the game, not effected by difficulty level. All of the differences between levels are geared to play balance between the AIs and the human player(s). Whereas, the senate is purely a distinction of gov type and, appearently, is not effected by difficulty level. |

Then again, most of us have contrived ways to get around the Senate, so we may not have noticed a difference in their reactions. And furthermore, many of us who would be looking for these kinds of issues are probably Deity-only level players (aside from GOTM and Succession games) so we have not experienced lower-level play in quite some time.
All that said, I doubt we would find much difference in Senate actions. |

I like the U.N. where you can declare it half the time. They will always pass resolutions while you're fighting that war(hopefully and important one).
Or save up a large amount of money and hit revolution like the computer does. |
