I think we should allow guests to post in the news forum

News comments generally aren't that regulated on gaming sites, so don't you think it would be apropriate to allow guests to post on the news forum?

No, if they want to post they should put in enough bother to register, it really doesn't take all that much effort

No, if they want to post, they should register if they want to make an effort to post in the news forum .

More input by those who only frequent the mainpage.

How much that would be and of what quality it would be I have not the clue, but it would be interesting to find out.

We have a news forum?

Oh, right under SF...

Is that a new thing, I mean, relatively?

No, one reason we moved to the current system is because spammers and robots were spamming the news comments in the old system.

Well, if we allow guests posting in any forums, it'll be a usual thing to see post that contains pornographic, racialist or other bad "info" for us!

No, No, No!
TF, please don't allow this to happen!

If they wanna post, they must register!

Wait a minute... I think I know why Perfection wants the old system back, and I think it has something to do with comment spamming.

Well, I'd think the forum structure would take care of the bots.

Why not?

Some new like that:

"Bananas are ymmy"

Hi, I'm working on my new mod, called "Bananas are yummy...."

I see thousands of members, waiting for vegetables fights.

Anywhere, we shouldn't allow the guests to post in the newsforum.

Or if we allow them, they must make something like "easy account"- an account without e-mail confirmation only for the newsforum, which they must create so we can be sure that they have read the rules. (carefuly)

Simply reposting the title of a mod is still spam.

How are you going to be sure that they read the rules carefully? Nothing's stopping them from scrolling down, checking the box, and clicking "I Agree."

How many people actually read the rules before signing up? I'm pretty sure I didn't, because it didnt seem worth 10 minutes of my time just to read the standard rules of most forums.
