Just wondering really as I'm new around here, are threads that aren't especially related to Civ 1 2 or 3 allowed to remain?

I think it makes it more fun to have a rambling thread about any old rubbish, but I know it wastes space etc.

We have a special place for non civ related topics called off-topic. It's a catch all for everything anyone could possibly want to discuss on this site.

As BlueMonday pointed out, all non-civ related posts goto the Off-Topic forum.

I agree "Your rights to Freedom of Speech don't apply here." sounds a bit strong and maybe I should rephrase it. <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif" border=0>

Howver, there are some people who firmly believe the freedom of speech clause gives them the right to post anything, even if their posts violated other people rights. We consider it an abuse of power. The forum would be a mess if there are no restrictions...
