I agree w. domination. In a SS race, we won't want to have wars going on.
By the way, if we go for domination, being Da World Police surely will prevent us from doing wars the way we want it. But never researching democracy really doesn't fit in the roleplaying aspect of the game. I don't say we sould beeline for world police-related techs either, but I think whe sould agree on this specific aspect of the tech path before even beginning the game.

I'm fine with whichever start y'all agree on.
tech path: Mining, pause and let's discuss. spam warriors, until we hit size 2 then a worker? stonehenge then the oracle gets my vote. If not that then GW, pyramids.

I'll go with b -> 2!! oasis. And i've change my mind on the tech path a bit: hunting, mining, then pause to discuss. The 'phant will do 3 hammers and adds commerce. IIRC.

Just pick B, it's fine by me.
I mean, we'll win anyway, it's prince ! open with Mining and BW, then we'll discuss the following tech path. Bronze is just an important tech, firstly for the needed Axes and secondly for some chop-rushes

Very nice exploration turnset indeed!!
Have you been sacrificing Indian scouts to the RNG god lately? because we have an awesome start : besides the 3 free techs, I noticed in the save that we have copper, marble and stone in our capital's fourth or fifth ring... that ROCKS Soon we will be unstoppable ![]() Tech wise, pottery => mysticism seem logical, with copper on hand and not too many jungles nearby. About the next turnsets my two+ cents : - explore a bit the surroundings of the copper and stone sites with our sleeping warrior in Wash. - found NY (or Boston or Paris or whatever ) next to the copper : is there more fertile terrain south of the copper?, unless an outstanding city spot lies next to the stone (sonehenge is a fast wonder, hooking up the stone is not a priority)- build a worker or 2 once we hit size 3 (to use all these nice worker techs... and cottage those flood plains) - grow Wash. a bit while building stonehenge, before the barbs become too annoying And build axes in second city + expand after stonehenge is completed What shall we do with Washington? the fat cross is extremely flexible, an early wonder powerhouse/GP farm that is a no brainer. Afterwards, go for cottage mode? Or full production mode? we are south to the equator, lots of cottage paradises in the north, and in the south there seem to be a good quantity of hills, requires more scouting.

Got the game...
I'll play in 3-4 hours. Turnset plan: Explore Copper area, settle near copper, connect cities and resources, find some enemies to kill, build some wonders

re techs, pottery then myst is good. by going for pottery we have to learn the wheel first which let's us hook up the ivory for +1 happy gas. What does everyone think of Washington as a GP factory? stonehenge, oracle, CI? No contaminating it with other wonders. By the time we have maces, switch it to a commerce/production city? tis a shame there's no hitting F11 like civ3 to see whom we're up against... ![]() just a request - we'll need a dotmap for city 2 and 3 soon...

well, I hope they didn't go too rough on you
![]() no prob about not playing today, we're still way ahead of schedule anyways. by the way furrie, in which part of Belgium R U? On topic : I always like great prophet spam (found confucianism w. oracle tech?). Shall we go for civil service with 1st prophet and forget the stone & marble for a while? In this case I'd like Washington to have a fair amount of cottages ASAP to maximize the civic. We should definitely go for GL and maybe HG (not in Wash, if you don't wanna "pollute"...), after we get the resources online. Or slaughter a neighbour if not too far away.
