changing flags

hi
when i try to change america.dds flag with a better one, i see always a flag blue with a big 1 star in the middle.
i looked with a dds viewer in my all art/interface/teamcolor folders of all my mods but i see only good american flags not the ones with 1 star only in the middle, why i dont see it correct?. what am i missing?
i am sure is a dumb question sorry, but i cant find alone a way to solve the problem.

Need more info that what you have, are you looking in the Art/interface/teamcolor, then replacing it there??

Also if your playing a scenario, you have to change the map also then.

go into the map and change what you want there ok. if you see white flags means you changed something other than what was intented.
Here is a copy of one WHAT it should look like.

Now this is only a temp result, if you permanently want to change things then you need to change some of the XML file around more.

u are kind and a lot exaustive strategy

but the map with scenario is only a warlordsave
i dont see xml connected to it.
where is the xml that controll that map in a mod?
