1.97 fix
Here's a fix to correct the Steppe marauder graphics, that may have caused some games to crash (see original 1.97 thread)
To instlal it, simply unpack the zip file in your ...\The Ancient Mediterranean\Assets\XML\Art\ folder, it'll replace the old Unit art file, and should do the trick.

Still CTDs
This didn't fix mine and its probably too early for anyone to have steppe marauders.
I had the same error some one else did with the msvcp71.dll . I attached the savegame. Hopefully you can fix it. Thanks. |

i had ethe same ctd problem. i think it had something to do with having everything on automated tasks around 4000bc- when i play now, i always make sure i have 1 scout moving manually by me, and the ctd is gone.
however there are other bugs like citynames and leaders coming up with txt_key_blablah. also some techs that have bad alphachannels on the button. i havent bother writing it down so i cannot tell you which techs or which cityname/leaders that got the bug. but i would like to know if others get pink buttons on some techs because this bug may not appear on all systems. im sure the tam makers dont get this bug or else they would have seen it in the civilopedia and probalby fixed it before the release. lol a quick check in the xml and i founf this TXT_KEY_CITY_NAME_OSTROGOTH in the civilizationinfos while the goth.xml has this TXT_KEY_CITY_NAME_OSTROGOTH_ see the underscore? hehe. (fix everyone can do. open goth.xml in text folder, search for ost and remove underscore and save) Last edited by etrym; Nov 04, 2006 at 03:17 PM. |

I never automate anything. It has started doing it now on the huge Magna Graecia map. I try to attack a city and its crashes. I'm using axemen against minoan archers.
I have also had problems with the attack animations not happening properly or at all... |

If I download 1.97, do I need to download this fix as well? Has the 1.97 installation been updated to already incorporate the fix?

The roman city named "Ariminum" needs a fix as well btw...
Anyone looked into the graphics of the religious/health/happiness symbols on the city bars? Like i posted earlier, unhealthiness is not shown at all, unhappyness with a health symbol and every religious symbol has a small star as the holy cities had in previous versions. Also, the "commerce" symbol is shown as the magenta "culture" symbol Last edited by schlappi; Nov 14, 2006 at 03:07 PM. |

Fixed a bug with the World Builder
Quote:
.I have uploaded your saved game with the offending unit removed, and as you can see no more error. You should also know that error remains if the warrior is deleted and replaced by another type of unit owned by "Teres" in fact if you move the unit anywhere right next to the culture of the city "Rustavi" the error will remain. This means: #1: the problem is not with the warrior unit #2: the problem is not with the exact position of the unit #3: the problem is that the "Teres" AI is interacting with "Aeetes" in a particular way that is causing a crash. The error can also be solved by completely removing "Aeetes" or "Teres" from the game. Hopefully that helps to narrow down at lease one of the CTD errors. |
