OK, here's a thread for you to post stories, thoughts, comments and questions that don't require their own thread.

Fire away...

Just wanted to say "Hi!"! I haven't forgotten TAM, I still love to read through the forums and read what's going on. I just wish we had more activity here. Also, Laurino seems to be close to releasing the next version. Dunno what's up really though.

Otherwise, I'm busy working on the next Total War title, in a team of designers... It's so different from modding but somehow also the same. Lots of fun for sure! And I get paid for it...

Anyway, great to see people are still interested in TAM!

So, what is this next Total War title? An expansion to Medieval II, or something totally new?

P.S. And make sure they fix up the buggy Medieval II quickly, it's kind of tiring seeing your armored knights losing to peasant archers in melee combat.

Can't say what the next Total War title is (until it's officially announced of course). Let me just say that it's gonna be awesome, lots of new features (as you would probably expect anyway). But I can't say more than that unless I want to get fired. :P

Regarding Medieval II: It's being worked on, but I'm not involved there, so I have no idea what they're patching exactly.

Hmm, guess I'll just have to guess what it is. Maybe TAM: Total War?

Ooh a new TW with Thamis working on it? Great stuff! Good to see that your exploits have paid off!

I love Medieval 2 but it's a bit too easy, I hope they strengthen the AI a lot for future releases.

Drtad - wow, never had such an experience in any of my games - only the Scot's Guard archers stand a chance in melee as far as I have seen. Peasant archers break if you so much as glance in their direction in my game

Still waiting to see what's happening here at TAM.... I personally am just looking forward to a future Warlords version, but I realise that it could take a considerable amount of time, so I just check in now and again.

Hey Thamis! Good to see you're still around. Regarding Total War; You know what I want - "Total War - The thirty years war",lots of fractions, lots of provinces, don't forget to tell your boss about the idea if you haven't already.

Lately when I haven't played TAM or vanilla CIV, MedievalIITW has been my second choice. Even though it's a fantastic game, I got to say CIV still wins in terms of AI depth. It still seems quite impossible to be a builder instead of conqueror, and the game is too easy if you go straight for world dominance.

Anyway, enough of TW on this TAM site. I think we are all just waiting for Laurino and the next TAM version at the moment, in suspense I might add.

I'm trying to finish it as quick as I can, while also working on graphics requests, and other personal stuff ... I'm really getting into 3d modelling (must do it at least 10 hours a day...) I got in touch with Chazcon, and as soon as he has finished his work, he'll do the Python and C++ stuff... We tried getting to know what happenned with the SDK, but with no results, so all major changes will now be in Warlords version. As for the graphical side, TAM now has unique gfx for ALL units, ALL buildings, (even Barracks and markets have been redone), ALL resources. I added a lot of new leaders (each civ now has 2 at least, all of wich will have 3d animated models (that's what I'm currently working on). TAM will also be fully translated in French for the next release.

The only thing, is that I can't give you guys any release date... It'll be done at one point, hopefully in a matter of weeks...

If anyone remembers me, I used to be fairly active with feedback and suggestions for the CivIII TAM once upon a time. I just got an impulse to come by and say hi tonight.
