How do MODs work?
Will they change my normal game install? If so, can I just install Civ3 in another folder for each mod so that I can play any type of game I like? Is there a how to included with most well done mods or maybe a short guide somewhere.
I have been reading along with some of the succession games and I would like to see how some of the mods like the Britsih Isles play. I just want to be able to still play plain 'ol vanilla Civ 3 off and on without a large install/uninstall headache everytime. I've got tons of empty HDD space so if that works to just have several installs with different mods applied to each one that's best for me. Thanks in advance. |

I would suggest checking out :Civ3 - Creation & Customization. As the fine print says this forum is used to "Discuss the art of creation and post your completed modpacks, maps, or utility programs in the Finished Files forums." I am sure you could gain the knowledge you are asking about from one of the wizards in that forum.
