Our Mission

CivFanatics.com prides itself in its mission to present the absolute best in fanatical coverage of Civilization, Civilization II, Civilization III, Civilization IV, and Civilization V. Our goal is to meet the challenges of all aspects of Civilization interests while being attentive enough to allow visitors the ability to guide it toward elements that are desired. Ultimately, this site hopes to provide itself as a vehicle to bring Civilization to life for all who enter and share the common interest in the concept of Civilization.

I left a comment on the site feedback earlier in the year:

There is currently a lack of transparency about links with former and present developers and publishers. It would be greatly helpful for users of the forum and outsiders to make their own judgment about the extent to which this website is, in practice, a fan-based website.

It would also help the website, since, as an example, moderator reaction towards Civ 5 hostility among some fans on the board would not incur any ill-founded suspicion and could be seen purely in the interests of fans using the forum rather than anything else.
