I missed one acronym: DoW. I cannot add it myself because I can grasp its meaning (something about declaring war) but I don't know for what it stands for.

I think WFYABTA should be included too, e.g.:

WFYABTA - Unwillingness of an AI to trade techs due to previous tech trades ("We fear you are becoming too advanced")

what does DP mean (civ IV wise)? Does it mean Declaration of peace? There are some terms which I still don't know the meaning(like abbreviations of all the leaders would be nice i.e. Monty=Montezuma, GK=Genghis Khan, Ham=Hammurabi etc.( an up-to-date version would be greatly appreciated.)

I believe DP means Defensive Pact. I know it doesn't mean Declaration of Peace. Also, 'Mids means Pyramids.

Here's some of the CivIV leaders off the top of my head

Spoiler :
Montezuma - Monty
Hammurabi - Hammy
Charlemagne - Burger King (that one you need)
Ramses - Ram
Hatchepsut - Hatty
Mansa Musa - MM
Ragnar - Rags
Kublai Khan - KK
Suryavaraman - Sury, Space Alien (ever look at him)
Catherine - Cathy, REX Queen

Washington - GW

Napoleon - Nappy
Tokugawa - Toku
Elizabeth - Liz, Lizzy
Victoria - Vicky
Huayna Capac - The Cheesemeister (some players won't play him, he's so good)

I sympathize. There are so many acronyms for leaders even that you just have to jump in. You can ask if somebody comes up with Chicken Pizza (Chichen Itza). Some may have two. SE can either mean Specialist Economy or Space Elevator. Context matters. Even more, certain posters have their own acronyms. TMIT use of "Broken" may confuse you the first couple of times he uses it. I use "Full Basket of Fruit" to refer to Monty and one of the RFC guides calls Mansa "The Great African Tech Whore" without saying who it is. It's assumed 90% of the posters will know but it makes it hard for the 10%. AI's can be described by an attribute of theirs, like Mansa.

This is true of a lot of hobbies. I play competitive Bridge and some of the discussions there are even worse. Terms like Endplay, Strip, Squeeze, Throw-in have all been misinterpreted as somewhat improper terms by new players.
