<img src="http://www.civfanatics.com/images/civ1logos.jpg" border=1 align=right><a href="http://www.gamespy.com" target=link>GameSpy.com</a> has unveiled the <a href="http://www.gamespy.com/articles/july01/top501aspe/" target=link>Top 10 Games</a> in its Top 50 Games of All Time feature today. Not surprisingly, Sid Meier's Civilization is among these Top 10 Games (in 4th position, to be exact). Here is an excerpt:


<font color=brown>Ten years have passed since Sid Meier released Civilization, the definitive turn-based strategy game. The years may not have been especially kind on the graphics in this 2.6MB DOS game, but there can be no doubt that few other games have packed in as much fun on a couple of floppy disks. Civilization remains the benchmark for empire-building games. During the decade that followed, only Sid Meier himself was able to craft a game that approached the outstanding gameplay of the original Civilization. </font></P>
