Term 3 - Commander in Chief

This is the dawn of the era of exploration and discovering and hopefully we will encounter some of our opponents, to found some fruitful trade relations. So let's go on and do our best.

Proposals for turn 61:

Bond S
Moneypenny SE
Dr No fortifies
Kronsteen E
Jaws N (finally he shall be fortified on the mountain N of Elear)
Largo fortifies as MP in Baldric
Blofeld N - N
SNS Drake S - S (another brave attempt to establish contact to another civilization)
SNS Morgan N - N
SNS Nemo N - W (unless Chamnix sees anything interesting after the first move)
SNS Ahab W - N

Btw, does anybody know percentages of the risk to sink when traveling on sea and/or ocean tiles?

I would estimate that Nemo has discovered one of the map's sources of uranium. I bet we are going to need another couple lucky attempts to get away from this little island and find a significant (populated) landmass.

Also, when do we know if the curraghs survived? Is it at the beginning of the turn or the end?

We'll know when we get the next save. I agree that the land Nemo found is probably not populated . Hopefully, one of the other crossings will work out better.

Hey guys, be more optimistic. I believe that all the passages to other civs are created in this style. They are basically made for galleys (some need TGL additionally). Since we do not need a large army on our island we can concentrate on sending out curraghs, but more preferably galleys soon...

Proposals for turn 62:

new warrior from Scymitar: Flint
new curragh from Claymore: SNS Blackbeard (or would that give the impression to other teams he may not be friendly?)

Bond should get some rest until fully healed
Moneypenny E
Kronsteen N
Jaws E
Blofeld NW
SNS Drake S - E (if not sunk naturally)
SNS Morgan N - N
SNS Nemo N - NW (if not sunk naturally)
SNS Ahab W - N
Flint N - W - NW
SNS Blackbeard SE - S (should be our next suicide ship either replacing SNS Drake, or a little bit more westwards, if Drake survives)

I think Blackbeard should follow Morgan to the northeast passage in case Morgan doesn't make it. We will have curraghs from Katana, Georgetown, and Karabela, any of which are closer to the southern passage than Blackbeard.

I'm not worried about that. Blackbeard sounds good.

Proposals for turn 63:

new curragh from Katana: SNS Kirk (or are spaceship captains prohibited?)

Bond E
Moneypenny NE
Kronsteen N
Jaws fortifies
Blofeld N
SNS Drake E - SW (if not sunk naturally)
SNS Morgan N - N
SNS Nemo NE - N
SNS Ahab NW - N
Flint W
SNS Blackbeard N - N
SNS Kirk S - S

I think we found an island of an opponent. Probably their units are somewhere on the other side...I am sooo excited

And with regard to the demographic (military service) I am optimistic that our opponents aren't as eager to find other civs right now as we are. (Not necessarily true but hopefully)

Proposals for turn 64:

Those barbs galleys are what I fear when barb camps spawn at coastal tiles. But we will take care of them...

Blofeld NW
SNS Drake S - E
SNS Morgan N - NW (if not sunk by the barbs)
SNS Nemo N - NW
SNS Ahab W - N
Flint N
SNS Blackbeard N - N (if the barbs still exist, attack them!)
SNS Kirk SW - W
Bourne if Kronsteen loses SE - E - E / if Kronsteen wins NE - NE towards Yatagan as central gathering spot to react to new barb camps

Here is the picture before anything is moved for turn 64:

Does this change any orders? Should Morgan continued redlined or should he return to a port to heal? Should Kronsteen attack although injured or wait until next turn? Any other units change plans?

Morgan should continue as planned. To be redlined should have no impact on his suicide mission.

Fortify Kronsteen, as most probably there won't pop a new barb and the one in the camp won't attack.

As Kronsteen is still alive, move Bourne NE -NE...

@Chamnix: I won't be available for the next 9-10 hours, so if my current turn orders are insufficient, please check back with the others or move the units as you think it's best...

I think I understand - redlined barb = attack with Blofeld; healthy barb = attack with Bond, right?

On a different topic, how many warriors do you think we need as perimeter guards? We will have 10 total next turn with 2 reserved for MP in Baldric. I'm just thinking if we want to start letting our other core towns grow to size 4-5, we need more MPs, and I'm trying to figure out how many more warriors we want to build.

I'm thinking almost all of these regular warriors are destined to be disbanded eventually, so once we have enough total warriors, maybe we should think about building catapults instead of warriors from towns like Scymitar.

I think 8 warriors as perimeter guards should be enough...

Allright, I agree to that one...
