Give bad advice

2. Cows don't need to be improved.

3. Your first build in every city should be a colosseum, or a coastal fortress if available.

5. build a Library in 1000 bC in a town surrounded by only hills and mountains

6. This is bad bad advice because it's obvious :(. However, it should be read in hopes of improving your gameplay if you still play Chieftain.

If you start with masonry build the pyramids before anything else!

10. Station at least 2 defenders in every city, even those that will never be attacked.

10. Station at least 2 defenders in every city, even those that will never be attacked.
if you look in the manual for CIV 2 gold it actually tells you to do that...the exact quote...
12. Nononono, the red blobs you see in the middle of your city window is good

13) build every building in every city! Who cares about military???

14) Only attack with red-lined troops. Disband all your full health troops.
15) Always trust the AI.
16) Try to always build your cities next to volcanoes.
17) 'gift' the AI everything you have - even all your cities.
18) Never build military
19) Put your lux slider to 100% for the whole game.

14)You only need one or two defenders to protect your stack of 60 Artillery

15. Send your settlers to build towns right next to your neighboring AI's borders as early as possible, preferably taking up some of the AI's tiles. Don't defend these towns, as the AI just loves having friendly neighbors nearby. :D

22 You get very annoyed when the numbers are mixed up . That wasn't actually one but anyway...

22) or 17) Always play chieftain for the rest of your life.

18. First building should always be a temple and as soon as you possibly can, build the Temple of Artemis. A variant on this is to build granaries first and then completing the Pyramids or to build barracks and then Sun Tzu's.

19. What's the point of waiting 50-odd turns to make sure you get Sun Tzu's? Use a GSL as soon as you get them! The Mausoleum looks soo nice when you go to city view so why deny yourself the pleasure of looking at it each of those 50-odd turns!

20. Always adhere to OCP - even if it means not placing towns next to fresh water/rivers or placing them next to volcanoes!

21. Declare war with the forces you have in hand! Then start building replacements and send to the front as soon as they're built.

22. You can never have too many slaves! If you spot an AI worker or settler, abandon the attack on Seattle/Veii/Omdurman and capture the worker/settler!
