MOD Request

one of the characteristics is Civ that has always bugged me, was the unhistorical movement/combat of pre-modern era units

prior to the modern era, a country would move it's soldiers in one or a few armies, led by a king or general

in Civ a player/AI may move, and fight with as many units as he sees fit, which is both time consuming and leaves the AI vulnerable to SoD attacks

is there a way to mod the game so that:

1. units have a movement of zero unless stacked with a general
2. create a general unit (a civ would receive one at the start)
3. make an 'explorer' unit available at game start

given that i think python is a snake, i am not the ideal candidate to implement this putative mod

would any modders out there pick up the gauntlet?

That is the triclky part, and would be easier done from the SDK.
