Warlord, looking at the save I've noticed we have a number of interior cities which still have warriors defending them. In the cases where these warriors are not the only defender I think it would be wise to disband them and save some military expense. If there is any more room for cutting back on outdated units the treasury would be happy to see such changes.

Sure, but they´re serving pretty good as military police.

We're in hereditary rule civic, so each unit +1 happiness. It helps to reduce war weariness, if there is any.

But if they aren't helping the happiness or the city to grow, these cheap warriors should be disbanded.

We are ready to attack Rome next turn.

The plan is to attack Pisae and Neapolis simultaniously. Our stack will then move to Munich (probably raze that city), Cumae and possibly Antium.

Pisae (2 CG1 archers, 1 unpromoted archer, a settler and a galley)and Neapolis (2 CG1 archers) are both weakly defended:

Julius is still very backwards, and I'm optimistic that we can beat him to death.

Dear Warlord,

I've wrote a plan for our troops here. Please comment on it and when it has been discussed enough poll the plan of going to war with Ceasar.

I think it's about time to look into upgrading some of our more experienced Axemen, it costs 125 to upgrade each axemen and it will increase their combat effectivness greatly.

We have 636 gold in the bank right now with a -28 gold per turn deficit.

We can pay for 5 upgrades, however that would leave only 11 gold in the coffers, so I'd suggest upgrading our top 2-3 axemen, and leaving the rest of the money in the bank.

Orders for next TC (whenever that'll be):

Pisae Group
T1
Declare war on Julius Caesar
Move the two Keshiks, two catapults, the maceman, the two axemen and the chariot near Neapolis to the marked tile

T2
Bombard twice, then attack with the Mace, then with the two Keshiks, then if needed with the cover promoted axemen.

T3+
Leave the Combat I-II Shock axe to defend the city, let the wounded troops heal before sending them to Neapolis, send the healthy units immediately. Try keeping them together as a stack though.

Coast Guard
Let the two spearman and the two Keshiks near EA/NotA fight the two Roman Horse Archers
Keep the settler in EA, until the threat of the Horse Archers is over

Neapolis Group and leftover troops
Let all troops that have no orders yet, and are not in a city go towards Neapolis.
On turn two, bombard Neapolis and attack with the Macemen (City Raider promotion) and the Horse Archers
Keep the Chariot and the Axe as city guard in Neapolis.
When Neapolis is captured, send all healthy troops towards Munich, and take that city too, when enough troops are there. The next target (for the next TC) is Cumae.

Stop when you've captured Munich, or if Germany declares war on us.

Upgrades: I don't think we need them ATM, we can use our money better.

Promotions: Macemen should get City Raider, Keshiks should get Combat/Shock, catapults should get bombard and collateral, axes should get city raider. Try promoting as late as possible, so when a unit is ready to fight/defend or when a unit is hurt.

Builds: I could do with another spearman in the south to stop those Roman Horse Archers, we can also use more Maces.

Provisional Orders

1 Keshiks from Marseilles -> Front
2 spearmen from NotA -> Front
1 Keshik from EA -> Front
1 Maceman from EA -> Front
1 Axeman city #1 -> Front

Neapolis Defence: 1 Chariot, 1 Axeman
Munich Defence: 2 Keshiks
When Cumae falls, move 1 Keshik and 1 axeman from these defences to Cumae

Disband warrior #3 (East of Ainu)

Send the stack currently outside of Neapolis N NE
Send the elite Keshik and all catapults from Munich W NW starting one turn later, so they'll catch up on the grassland forest hill
Move N from there and start bombarding the city
Attack when the odds are good enough

Note: The Romans have captured a source of iron in the north, hopefully, the Germans are preventing them from using it.

Costs of military:

X= number of units
N=number of citizens

Upkeep = 0,6(X -[0.24 * N] - 10)
Current upkeep = 0,6(56-0,24*89-10)=15

Y= number of units outside borders
Away cost = (Y-4)/2
