10.4.10

Downloaded the new update to OSX today. Played 100 turns and finished a game with no crash problems. Could Apple have fixed our problems? Looks like it so far. I can report back tomorrow and let you all know if I had another crash.

Playing Warlords fully patched, on a Dual 2GHz G5 with 2.5GB RAM

I'm not convinced. The knowledge base article mentions nothing about Core Audio fixes - and that is the most common cause of a crash for me. For example:

Played for a while again today, and still no crashes. Whatever they did, it is working for me, even though I have had CoreAudio crashes too. And graphics glitches.

Just played another round, and ended with a crash. Nevermind. It is still CoreAudio, and nothing has been done, like you said Skippy_Kangaroo.

Are you guys using the HoF mod, or playing the stock game?

If you *are* getting crashes that seem to be related to the HoF Mod, I need to know! Please send me crash logs plus Python error logs if you can.

I am running Warlords fully patched (2.00 Rev C????) and no mods. My problems aren't from the HOF mod.

I think Rev C makes it version 2.08

I don't think so, when I ran the update in program it downloads the 2.08 patch for Windows, but when I downloaded Rev C from MacGames my build is still only 2.00.

Sorry, my mistake. Rev C is the latest vanilla patch. You haven't patched Warlords if that's all you did. You need the Warlords Rev B patch.

Then it is Rev B for Warlords, that was why I put in the ???, I couldn't remember what the patch Rev was for Warlords. Why they didn't just make it a new number beats me.

There was a Rev A patch for Warlords that made it compatible with Windows version 2.08. Patch B was to fix some sound problems introduced by patch A

Don't confuse patch letters for vanilla and Warlords. They are two different series. Warlords patches may update vanilla, I believe, as Warlords shares some resources with vanilla. But vanilla patches will not update Warlords.

AlanH: I only bought Warlords a week ago, had Vanilla for a while so I got the letters mixed up.
