Vista compatibility?
Hey everyone, I'm a newbie with a quick question. I just ordered Civ IV today, and before I placed my order it had completely slipped my mind to check to see if it was compatible with Vista. Did I just waste money on a game that won't run on my OS?

Unforntunately, Civilization only supports Windows 2000 and XP. I got this from 2k's official CivIV website under the support tab. This is a total bummer though, maybe they are waiting for CivV before they configure support for Vista?

it should work fine with vista, but sometimes there can be annoying problems that seem to have a miraculous cause...
so give it a try?

I dont forsee any probles running Civ4 on a Vista machine.
(I have not tried myself since VMware Workstation does not emulate a graphics card that Civ4 would agree with_

BTS has the "Games for Windows" label that does list Vista, so perhaps 2k will have to add a page to their service manual.
