Official Beyond the Sword Trailer!

2K Games has released the official Civ4: Beyond the Sword trailer. It has a length of 1:49 and contains a lot of interesting videos, both computer animated and of game play. There is also an excellent voice-over by Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime in the "Transformers" movie.

According to Wikipedia, that would be Peter Cullen. Not sure which character is more well-known, but Optimus Prime sounds a little more...impressive...than "There is also an excellent voice-over by...Eeyore."

I like the trailer. Hopefully its quality is indicative of the final release as well.

It was a good trailer, and there was that nice line about "transforming," which made the vocal choice more entertaining. I'm still waiting for a really clever humor ad like CivAnonymous or Warlords Security Briefings. I'm about out of hope for a similar installment as release is less than a week away.

It was actually pretty good. And the cinematics were a lot better than Warlords.

The trailer has a release date at the end of it. The release date on the trailer shows the 25th?!?!? I thought we were going to get it on the 23rd. :/

I wonder if the music from this trailer is included in bts (e.g. for the opening menu)? In my opinion this sounds way better than the music from the bts-page.

I like the music from both of them. I'm hoping they're both integrated in some way into the game!

Funny how when I first watched the video it had 107 views and now, 13 hours later, it has 2350. That gives a nice indication of how fast news travels on the Internet (and the influence of CivFanatics).

Funny how viral marketing campaigns like this no longer require the company to actually purchase advertising time on TV, eh?
