Fear the barb!
Whoa!
I'm playing the mod on the TAM Huge map on Marathon with Raging Barbarians ON, Prince difficulty. I'm humming along nicely with 4 cities each with two defenders at least one of them a Javelineer, researching Polytheism and feeling pretty good about myself when i see a barb alert. No biggie. Killed a few of them recently and my troops like the practice. This time i look and see 3 stacks within 1 hex of each other approaching my farthest flung city - first stack 15 tribal warriors second stack 9 tribal warriors third stack 11 tribal warriors Two turns later 5 stacks (all tribal warriors) are now in sight of the same city - first stack - 15 second stack - 20 third stack - 3 fourth stack - 9 fifth stack - 5 sixth stack - 4 Next turn - my city was wiped out by the first stack. My recommendation - don't set Raging Barbs on the Huge TAM map on Marathon. I can't speak to other setting combos. - feydras |

Hehe yeah there's a lot of empty space in TAM for the Barbs to get together
![]() Personally, I'd like to see a lot more Barb units and progression so that they remain a threat for quite some time.

You can still have fun with Raging Barbs on the Normal map, but on the Huge map, that's suicide if you're not surrounded by other AI civs. There is allot of open area in the North East, and in the East, and in Africa.
Also, on Marathon, you're asking for huge stacks of Warriors wandering the world. |
