There is a reason why "chose religion" option exists in custom rules.

As far as I understand, if you use that optional rule, then when founding religion, civ can choose any currently undiscovered religion (it doesn't need to be one from the tech). And some leaders have favorite religion for this case.

That means there is much greater chance for spiritual civ like Spain to get Christianity then some historial nonsense.

You really need to be far less vague. I doubt there is something I'm missing here, but I don't see what the choose religion option has to do with a Monty Python reference. You and many other people need to stop assuming that things are incredibly obvious. So what is this "nonsense?"

I'd hazard a guess that me means the dominant religions of the real world (Islam and Christianity) often tend up the weakest in Civ 4. Also, we almost always get a Buddhist or Hinduist Isabella, which was a devout Christian.

Never bothered me much, though. After all, in the Real World China does not build the Pyramids. Germany isn't next to Mongolia. Rome never built Railroads.
