Map reveals ancient urban sprawl

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6945574.stm

"The map, published in the journal PNAS, extends the known settlement by 1000 sq km, about the size of Los Angeles."

Ironically it was its size that ultimately killed the Khmer's megacity. Let's hope LA doesnt experience the same fate...

No, U.S. has railroads, they'll be fine on that front. However, the nation relies on
food resource trade and Sids Sushi + cereal mills, and several nations are now annoyed with the Civ. Adopting environmentalism and some better military strategy and diplomacy should help.

Every civ-er has a bad 8 turns.

Todays cities are even more unstable. Food now travels thousands of miles to reach a destination. Water supplies, commerce, Y2K... OMG were all going to die RUN!

Nice article but we all live in a house of cards.
