How will BTS work on this laptop?
Hi everybody!
I've been lurking about these forums but this is my first time posting. Anyway, i'm about to buy a new laptop and I want to assure that I'll be able to play CIV 4 BTS on it. It's an acer 5104WLMI amd turion 64X2 TL56 2048 mb ram (2x1024) the graphics card is an ATI X1100 512 mb (shared with ram) So, how do you think it will work? Thanks for your time! |

If Civ IV is an important factor in your decision, I'd think carefully before buying anything with shared graphics memory.
Civ IV will probably work, just about, but to work best get something with a Nvidia GeFORCE graphics card. I'm looking at buying ASUS F3SV, priced around $AUD 2100 (I think around $USD 1500). If that's above your budget, there are cheaper alternatives, but make sure it's got a Nvidia GeFORCE 7/8 series card, and preferably 2GB RAM (Vista) or 1GB RAM (XP). |
