To: Germany
From: France Marshal Petain deeply regrets the actions of a clearly mad former President. The desire of all Frenchmen to live in peace with our neighbor is well demonstrated by the military's admirably steadfast refusal to commit the craven and foolhardy sneak attack upon Germany. The mastermind of this plot is behind bars, soon to be tried for his crimes.

From Norway:
To the rest of the World: We would formally like to denounce the actions taken by France at the Monaco conference. Actions such as those are absolutely unforgivable, and surely were supported by the French leadership. We will, along with Mussolini of Italy, close our nation's trade with France, and call upon others to do so. |

From: Germany
To: the AntiComIntern Germany appreciates the support by its allies, and has entered negotiations with the noble army officers who have deposed the insane government of France. Their support will not be forgotten in this attempted Act of War against Germany and Italy, along with France's blatant disregard for the rules of international diplomacy.

From Norway
To the AntiComIntern We pledge as much of our military as we can in the defence of our fellow AntiComIntern members. We recomend a meeting of the nations of Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Poland, and ourselves to discuss our reactions to the French attack on defenseless diplomats, and several other issues. |

The Netherlands would like to condemn any assaults on diplomats anywhere in the world.
However, we cannot congratulate Germany now, as they have used force instead of diplomacy to expand, when force was unneeded.

Thanks for all the replies
![]() About the map - i think either the icons need to be 'ghostly' like that or i should not use them. They obscure too much of the borders, especially in fiddly places like europe. I will probably make a 'blank' map next time, except maybe ships, and the fire/smoke things on land to show where the fighting is. Quote:

. The Philippines are counted as a puppet state of the USA in that game. I confess i dont know how realistic that is (*goes to wikipedia*)

I would like to take a moment to recognize all the irony of this game. Both IC and OOC.

Britain condemns Germany's actions in expanding aggressively, thereby violating the terms of relatively peaceful expansion. Could you not wait for some diplomacy, or was it so imperative that you had to expand by ways of life destruction immediately?
Britain warns that further expansion by Germany will not be tolerated. We mustn't allow a disgust for war blind the nations of the world from the supposed terror to be incited by this continual expansion. |

To USA: (secret)
Provided that the Japanese government answers that call, Soviet Union is prepared to negotiate a peace treaty. OOC: I am with das on this one again. Purges were meant to centralize Stalin's power before the war and were meant to stop before WW2 with a new generation of un-purged (read thankful) generals. |

Seconded. I suggest you try making them bit smaller, that could help to prevent cluttering the borders.

Thirded, again. I for one had no problem with the icons as far as borders are concerned.

![]() Daft, any more details on the hardliner coup? Presumably the military hardliners in this case were army rather than navy. Prime Minister Kan'in Kotohito? IC: The Japanese Empire expresses tentative interest in the American offer of a summit.
