Moderator Action: Thread moved to a more correct forum, so you can get the help you need.

(And, by the way, this is a game forum, not a chatroom. It can take days to get an answer, sometimes. Please don't bump your own thread for at least 24 hrs. )

Isn't an tutorial inside the SBB-package?

I haven't done it for a while and nothing is installed (and I use civ3MM), but I try:
- Export the Storyboard of an existing flc. (Copy it to another folder first!)
- Then you get the Image-File, which you can work on.
- Replace or save the edited file under exactly the same name that was given.
- Now have a look at the animation at flicster (Don't know if you have to reopen the storyboard).
- Now you can build a flc of it.

If this doesn`t function, someone else must help.

You need to use Flicster to turn an existing flic into a storyboard. The existing flic must of course have the same number of frames as yours, and they must be the same size. Then you simply copy and paste your storyboard into that one. Then you open the storyboard in Flicster once more and turn it back into a flic, probably adjusting the animation speed as you do so.

Of course this assumes that the flic you're using has a palette that suits your new unit. It probably doesn't, though. If not, then when you've turned the flic into a storyboard, you will need to edit the palette to suit your new unit.

Utahjazz7's unit-making tutorial explains all this in more detail.

The Flicster you get here is the only one! So it will work fine.

Storyboards normally work with pcx-files (if I remember right).
Open the pcx-File and copy your image into that file (Palette and file-format should be stored then). But to build your storyboard choose a flc with a palette that suits your unit. And save it as pcx!

Huh. it doesnt allow pcx. to open, it says its invalid. so much for making these multi-figure units.

Copy your images into the pcx created by Flicster. When you use Flicster to turn a flic into a storyboard, it creates four files: two palettes, an unreadable "storyboard" file, and a pcx. Copy your storyboard into that last file. Then simply use Flicster to turn the storyboard back into a flic.

Ok. so i want to be sure on this

I take a civ unit animation lets say SettlerRun, i open it with flicster, turn it into pcx mode.
I go to storyboard editor, select multi-figure builder, i select the pcxs to combine em. i save it as a bmp. file in which it only allows me to save in.

Forgive me for asking too many of these questions but im really that dumb . Where do i go from here, now do i turn the bmp. into the pcx. format and go to flicster and open it as a new file ?

You open the settlerrun.flc and export it as storyboard.
Then you open the pcx and can edit it.
Now you have to save it as pcx! If your grafic-programm doesn't support it, use another one like GIMP.
Then you can reload the storyboard settlerrun and must see your new unit.
Last make a flc of it.
