Sound problem in BTS
Bad sound on my new computer ( Vista home premium ) " cracking noises "
Civ4 is fine, problem is just with BTS, with or without v3.13 patch I reinstalled but nothing changed The same disk was OK on old computer with XP ... Thanks for help ( and thanks about previous text problem, it was solved easily with this forum advises ) |

You've experimented with the audio device preferences in the game? They're choices like mono, stereo, eax, etc.

maybe the game tries to access a voice capturing device - so you might try this:
open users\<name>\My Games\Beyond the Sword\civilizationIV.ini and set this value to 0: Code:
; Enable voice over IP capture and playback EnableVoice = 1 Code:
; Enable/disable background music PlayMusic = 1 |
