After creating a colony . . .
. . . something weird happened.
I conquered the last Incan city (Cuzco) in 540AD, which destroyed that civ, and all its former cities became 100% British (I am playing as Roosevelt, renamed Joe of the British Empire). Later, I found a big island on which I founded two cities; these I "liberated" in 1190, and they became my vassal Ethiopia under Zara. In 1200, the next turn, I discovered that all six cities of the former Incan empire had suddenly acquired a huge proportion of Ethiopians, the worst case being in Cuzco which now was only 14% British, and 85% Ethiopian. 5 of its population of 15 now "yearn to join their native land", which gave me one angry citizen there. What in the name of sweet reason is the cause of such a totally illogical occurrence ? And I suppose I had better be thankful that the Ethiopian infection did not spread to the other cities I had conquered, especially the former Sumerian ones which I had taken later than the Incan ones. |

The Incans never really died, and when someone wanted to make an Ethiopian colony, it gave that Ethiopian colony the Incans 'spot' so they got all the Incan culture left in those cities
Patch to 3.13, and then get the Unofficial patch that takes care of some problems like that. (3.13 might take care of this problem on its own, but i don't remember)

Actually, 3.13 introduced this problem.

Obviously, before releasing 3.13 the developers researched an entirely new technology. It's called "Code of Flaws" . . .
So tell me, Bhruic, does your patch prevent this stupidity ? Presumably it can't cure it after it's happened. |

Yes, it will prevent it from occuring. However, it follows the Civ limit, which defaults to 18, so if you are at that cap, you won't be able to create new Colonies.

Unofficial patch installed successfully. Stupid phantom influence now does not occur (tested); fine work, Bhruic.
