Civ4 wont start after downloading patch
hi guys
I recently started playing civ4 (mostly single player) but i decided to give multiplayer a go, i downloaded the patch and installed and what not now the game wont start at all. whenever i go to load it this message pops up (This application has failed to start because D3DX9_32.DLL was not found.) anyone know how to fix it? Thanks in advance |

No Problem
Go to Microsoft's web site and install the latest version of DirectX.
The missing DLL is provided as part of the November 07 update for DirectX. Civ should tell you this instead of just 'missing DLL' but they don't. Sigh. |

I just got a new computer with Vista and I had this same problem after installing the patch. DirectX update helped! Thank you guys!
