Is it possible to switch to another civ in game?
Hi all! This is my first post. I have become quite addicted to Civ4. I always seem to get my ass kicked pretty good in the single player.
My first question on this forum is would it be possible to switch to another opposing civ in the game? The reason I was wondering is because I would really like to know how the AI plays and gets so powerful. I only know a fraction of the info and skills to really beat the game. I usually play on Earth18civs and Noble. Any replies would be most helpful. Thanks alot! Wally |

Open up the world builder (Ctrl W) and save it as a scenario. Quit, load the scenario, and pick the civ you want to play.
Should work.

King Jason's plan sounds simpler, but in the event that it doesn't work for you for some reason...
You can start a multiplayer game by yourself (and lock it with a password so nobody else can come in), set all the other civs to AI, and have at it. Next time you log in you can choose which civ you want to play. You can continue with your civ or change to any of the others. I'm not sure if it is more work than the save scenario option or if there are any other benefits/ negatives, but it is another way to go. Enjoy. |
