Added a custom leaderhead but now her skin is purple!?!
Okay, so I added Joan of Arc to my game, using this graphic pack:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/downlo...o=file&id=4659 I did all the XML editing, the game works fine, she has text, the only problem is that the the leaderhead's skin is a neon purple. I figure I must be missing a file or something. Two questions. First, I know that Joan is based of Catherine. I can't find Catherines Leaderhead folder anywhere on my computer (in the XML i just copied the location into Joans, could that be causing the purple?) Where are Catherine's files? Second, does anyone have experience using this graphic pack? What files do I need from Catherine's folder, assuming I can find it? (Besides the animation). This might help, it's how she appears in my game currently: Spoiler:

The leaderhead files are all pakked, kind of like a zip file, and you need a program called "PakBuild" to extrack the art files. This is also true of pretty much any Firaxis art file including units, buildings, etc.
I downloaded the Joan Of Arc LH you pointed to and it does not include all the necessary files (it needs the original Catherine LH files as you suspected). I think you have done the XML properly otherwise it would not have shown up at all in game. Anything purple on a LH, unit, building, etc usually indicates a missing art file. However, instead of trying to explain the whole process of unpakking art files to you, here is a complete version of that Joan of Arc LH with all the necessary files. [EDIT] Didn't hear back from you so I removed the download. PM me if you still need it. Let me know when you have it downloaded and working so that I can delete the file from the CivFanatics servers.

That looks like it's gonna turn out pretty good if you can get that fixed.

Idea, does your machine support shaders?
(is your graphics card above minimum specs?) |
