How to remove cities in a scenario

Hello all

I've placed some cities that I need to move - how do I remove the old cities?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Press: Shift+D. If there are any units in the city these will be disbanded first one at a time (or use Ctrl+Shift+D to destroy all units at cursor). When the city is empty you will get the option to disband the city!

An indirect thanks, too! To think all these years, I've been 'capturing into oblivion' my errant Civ2 urbanities!

As I recall though if you shift-d the city it will still be counted towards the 255 max limit? Or did I just dream this...

Anyways, you can also switch civ, place a low defence unit in the city (and make sure it hasn't got a wall), attack, and the city is gone.

@Henrik
In my latest project I had reached the 255 cities limit and had to delete some irrelevent ones to build elsewhere so I don't think it counts towards the total
