Cannot get my own music to work: help !!

Dear all;

Does anyone know a link to a tread, or an answer, that explains how to create your own list of music for each era.
I tried a lot of things, like putting my music in the custom assets folder, but they don't play.

What's the trick ?

Al the best and health for 08.

Mark.

I am sorry I can't help. Maybe looking for .wav files in your computer will tell you which ones you have to sustitute.

I would like to use this thread to ask a related question. Maybe the answer to one of them will help us both.

If I go to options, sound, and I choose a personal fordel where my music is, then the game will play my music. BUT, everytime I enter a city, my music will stop and the city Music will start. Same happens when talking to leaders, etc.

I have tried to uncheck every option in the sound screen, except volume and music. BUT then every time I get into a city my music stops and I hear silence.

Any solutions?

They have to be mp3 I believe. There are files in the audio folder of the xml that dictates era music. Look into there and if you have some xml knowledge you should be able to figure it. I'm on vacation right now so I can't help you really until I get back tomorrow, the 1st.

That would be nice.
I indeed added some files to the Assets - Sounds - Soundtrack - (Era) folders but don't know which xml files to modify.

There is a file called AudioDefinesSchema but there is also a file called CIV4EraInfos. Both "do" domething with music.

Which do I need to modify, or is there some other file I need to change ?
