How do I load the game of the month?

How do I load gotm? I am new at this.

If it is zipped, unzip it using Winzip (download from www.winzip.com); right click the iconon your desktop and click "Extract Here" to do so. Load up Civ 3 then click Load Game then hit the Up icon (just above Auto) a couple of times until you find Windows, click that then click Desktop and the load game should be there. Click on that, confirm and you are away!

You ought to be running the latest (1.21) patch. I'm not sure if it will work without (I think it probably will but there may be unexpected effects). The patch can be downloaded from www.civ3.com or www.civfanatics.com - the link is fairly easy to find.

That goes automatically. The patch is an exe. All you need to do is give the directory/folder where Civ3 is located.

Have you never patched before?
