The Chinese artillery forces lost their escort when scouting out the Middle Japanese jungle hills. in a flash of thunder and streaking steel, the horsemen of death swooped down and shredded the twigs the chinese used for bows. Before the artillery of bowmen could get off a shot, the entire division of bowmen were demolished. A hunt in the near by jungles and forest turned up nothing as the Americans seemingly disappeared.

After suffering heavy casualties, the liberation force outside of Hamburg has been forced to retreat, vowing to return and rescue the city.

THE BATTLE OF ROTENBURG

The Famerican army, after months cutting a path through the jungles of west Germany, found itself on the plains north of Hamburg outside the tiny village of Rotenburg. Their intent was clear: To push south and destroy the British BDF soldiers that had recently taken Hamburg. The British were still camped outside the city, still recovering from the battle and preparing a proper defense. Fortunately, the British force that had taken Hamburg was only a small part of the much larger BDF that was patrolling west Germany for invaders. A second force linked up with them in late 1749 to take on the threatening Famericans laying siege to Rotenburg.

The battle began early in the day with a full barrage of artillery. Both the 8th and 11th Batteries assaulted the Famericans who had nowhere to hide in the flat grasslands. Both groups of artillery suffered severe casualties and needed to be disbanded later due to their losses. They made the Famericans pay a heavy price, though, and the Famericans soon found themselves facing a two-sided cavalry attack from British knights in a typical pincer maneuver. Heavily weakened they had little chance against the heavily armored beasts, although the defenders did cause severe losses.

The infamous 6th Nottingham Guard, one of the most battle-tested and hardened regiments in all Britain, stampeded the now distraught and panicking Famericans, crushing what remained of the grenadiers. It was accompanied by some older British units which took care of the siege units the Famericans had so ruthlessly been using on the local inhabitants.

Within three days a Famerican force of around 32,000 soldiers was wiped out completely by parts of the growing British defenders, measuring around 82,000 advanced troops. The Famericans suffered 90% losses, with the few survivors being captured by British troops and sent packing to POW camps near Berlin. The British suffered around 30,000 casualties, although many were only wounded and expected to return to service within a short time. The British began recruiting locals for duty after the conflict to replace those lost. Given the presence of medics and friendly locals the process of filling the ranks was expected to be a quick one.

THE BLOODY ATLANTIC

The first naval conflict in the now-resumed war took place between a British frigate, the HMS Peregrine, and an unknown Chinese caravel. The frigate easily sank the Chinese vessel, although it did suffer heavy damage in the fighting.

The Peregrine was in need of repairs, but fortunately it was not alone as two other frigates were heading down from Indian waters to clear out the Atlantic of enemy shipping. The fleet at this time was known as "the sharks", mercilessly roaming the high seas in search of easy terrorist prey.

"Sir!, Sir! The chinese just came within range!" PFC India yelled as he entered the CP.

"Wha?!?!?!?" Major winters replied. In utter shock. The other officers looking at each other with confused stares.

They had been discussing the inevitable battle against the larger Chinese army with the Capanese waiting in the wings. It was a challenge to handle both forces. Luckily the Americans had the technology advancements, and the high ground.

"Are you sure?" asked Captain Nixon, grabbing the report, "Have you verified this readings."

"Yes Sir. They just past the line of craters we laid out last week with our cannons, just after the re-enforcements arrived."

Major Winters, moved quickly. "Welsh - lay down a covering fire now. Spears - Wait till they reach the bottom of the hill, and charge. If they want Pickets charge, we'll give it to them dagnabit"

The officers sprinted out the tent. Winters went to his hastily built pill box to watch the battle. They had obvious over whelming numbers. Hopefully we can load the wounded to retreat if we have too.

The cannons roared. Chinese Horses and Grenadiers fell. The old Macemen and Pikemen climbed with a tenacity Winters had never witnessed before in his life. "Those men want this hill. I hope our untested troops can withstand the onslaught." he thought grimly

Minute by Minute, the Chinese kept coming. The hospital tent soon filled to capacity. Heavy casualties, but no deaths reported. Thanking God for whatever news he could have, Winters saw the American troops fly down the mountain.

Rockets bursting around them, the older Chinese forces were no match for the Exploding bombs being tossed at them. Eventually they retreated back down the hill. The Hill remains in American hands... For today.

"I want reports, and I want them now!" Winters said to PFC India.

Minutes later, India returned panting from the sprinting.
"The Chinese lost all their attacking and defending units. Only catapults divisions are left."

Winters groan. Those old siege weapons are dangerous even advancing up hill. "What about us?" as the company officers returned to the CP.

"No deaths, Our cannons are 50% strength. All our grenadiers survived. Though the initial divisions suffered the most wounded.", India replied

"What are the Japanese doing?"

"They are moving towards the hill. But its unclear if they will move to attack the Chinese or us."

After a few minutes, Winters told the officers to regroup the standing for another charge tomorrow. He knew there would be an attack. Just from who and where?

Where was General Grant?

Dawn Came. The Chinese retreated to meet thier re-enforcements. They were weakened and ready to be picked off. Only the Americans were hurt just as Bad.

Angered that the Japanese did not take advantage of the opportunity to finish the Chinese, Major Winters ordered a bombardment of Tokyo. At least we'll wake them up and let them know they won't take us any easier.

The Japanese Prime minister pleaded with the Americans. "Please spare our cities! We are clearly no match for your superior power."

Having some compasion, and distracted by the veteran Chinese forces waiting to gun them down, the American General issued a challenge. You must drink 2 Liters of Saki in 2 minutes, or we will take Tokyo.

At Noon the next day, the mayor joined the American general just outside the gates. After an inspection of the liquid, the general ordered the trumpets to blare signaling the start. The seconds clicked by, the mayor gulped and gulped. Alas, he failed.

The General smiled as fear came across the mayors face. "Lay down your weapons, and we will spare the lives of the citizens." We will take Tokyo, and you are free to fight the Chinese without having to worry about us.

The mayor agreed and issued the stand down. Some officers relented, and lost their lives for it. The gates opened and allowed the Americans in to defend their homes against the Chinese. While the Americans are imperialsitc pigs, they proved to be compasionate, and respetful of the citizens. The mizig of cultures began with little resistance.

Peace was declared with the Japanese as the Chinese flagship of the north sea was sent down in flames.

On to Ulfang.

Reports from the natives report a unsuspected British force moving into American territory. Locals report the slaughtering of women and the raping of cattle.

The Battle of Langen
1780AD

In 1775AD, the British GDF left the garrison at Hamburg to patrol the German-Famerican border for raiding parties. In their absence, they left behind a small German force to protect the city. Unfortunately, the Famericans launched an attack on the city, throwing the defenders into a panic. The GDF forces were a weak match for the army now laying siege to the city, and the entire region looked lost until the 3rd Expeditionary Force (3EF) came to the rescue. Long at sea, the force arrived at just the right time.

With the Famericans advancing on Hamburg and actively occupying the nearby village of Langen, the 3EF had to attack quickly to avoid heavy civilian casualties. The counter-attack came from the farmlands to the northeast and gave the Famericans little time to prepare a proper defense of the village. In a desperation move, the 20th Artillery Battery struck first. Against heavy odds, the troops managed to defeat an infantry unit before retreating back to the main force. This was followed by the 18thAB, which was not as successful. The 18thAB sustained heavy casualties, eventually having its wounded rolled into other ABs and being disbanded.

The Famerican force was heavily damaged, though, and subsequent waves of 3EF cannons finished off the defenders. All that was left when the dust settled in July were some old, heavily damaged catapults, their wood visibly rotting from centuries of use. They attempted a retreat to the Elbe River, and made it to the northern banks before the 12thAB spotted them. Giving up their catapults, the men swam desperately towards freedom, but they were hundreds of miles from Famerican territory. In the water, the cannonballs began to shower down on the men. Those who made it to the opposite shores were caught in an endless volley of metal. They dug into the wet sand and faced their approaching death like infants.

Ultimately, the Famericans lost over 50,000 men in the fighting of 1779 and 1780AD. Another 9,000 men were taken prisoner and escorted to the Berlin POW camp. The British lost 4,146 men in the fighting, with another 16,584 heavily wounded. As before, local recruitment drives began immediately, and fresh orders of cannon equipment and ammunition were sent out to Berlin and London. Yes, British manned German steel and Famerican forced labour make for fine weaponry indeed.
