Idea to increase turn chat participation
Here it is:
Many citizens may not know how, can't, or don't want to download IRC. We might be albe to increase citizen prepecipation if we have a link or something that loads up the java applet directly to the #demogame. (Like TF has one for the #CivFanatics).

Maybe another idea is to send beer to all citizens participating in the chat (or coffee). Or maybe pay them gold to do so (like a currency, where you get an amount of money every turn-chat you attend. also for other duties you get money. you will be able to get really rich in here).

What will they spend it on?
Maybe we can start a grocery storw and citizens have to buy food, they can join the military pick jobs etc.

they could have to pay to move cities for example ;-)
the further they move, the more they pay. the cities majors may set the amount to be payed to move to the city for example ;-) |

If you do have it like an RL RPG with grocery stores etc. We could have more people join, because of the RPG.

Working out a way to make Demogame into an rpg, where each citizen does things like this, well it might work, I suppose yes.
