An e-commerce advertisement Q?

This is a question to the mods.
Mainly so I can be clear on what would be acceptable, before I launch off, and do my own thing and possibly get 'mod slapped'.

I'm doing a website - that will be offering digital pics of the Australian Outback; aimed at foreigners mostly.
With the intention of offering a large selection of pics for sale.

Now I realize posting a thread and essentially advertising the site & link; would probably be unacceptable on the forum.

*This post is not intdended as an adverisement (hence no link)*

Initially it will be a test page to see how the idea floats. I, believe maybe rightly or not; that some people on this site might find it interesting or worth perusing.

So how to 'advertise' within the forum rules; is my question!

I assume posting the site link in my signature, would be fine?
If not can a mod suggest any other alternatives, if there are any?

Adding a link to your signature is the only acceptable method, since your site is not Civ related...
