Early-game problem with my own civilization!
I've made a Tibetan Empire with Monk (replaces Settler) as unique unit.
But when I startup a game with the Tibetans I got two monks instead of one monk and one warrior. Why? And how can I fix it? Gurra09 |

In Civ4UnitInfos you find the settler and tell it what art is defined in the UnitMeshGroups area.

No! It's not the art. The wrong thing is that I got TWO settler unit instead of one settler unit and one warrior.
The settler is in my game just replaced with a Monk that has 1 strength to protect themself. So, whats wrong? Why do I get two Monks (replaces Settler) instead of get the normal one Settler (in this case replaced by Monk) and one Warrior? Gurra09 |

I think it has to do with you civilizationinfos.xml
somewhere in there it has something like this; Code:
<FreeUnitClasses> <FreeUnitClass> <UnitClassType>UNITCLASS_SETTLER</UnitClassType> <iFreeUnits>1</iFreeUnits> </FreeUnitClass> </FreeUnitClasses> Code:
<FreeUnitClasses>
<FreeUnitClass>
<UnitClassType>UNITCLASS_SETTLER</UnitClassType>
<UnitType>UNIT_MONK</UnitType>
<iFreeUnits>1</iFreeUnits>
</FreeUnitClass>
</FreeUnitClasses>
or it could be that in your unitinfos.xml, make sure that the monk is defined as UNIQUE_UNIT, not just UNIT

Doesn't need help. Edited the Monk so it is a Settler with double movement (4 instead of 2).
It works now and I got one Monk and one Warrior. Gurra09 |
