Crash every 5 minutes

Hi all, I'm new here and i'm a civ fanatic like you , recently I've buyed a copy of CIVILIZATION IV but i've a problem , I've installed the game without patches and updates and crash during the game every 5 or 10 minutes, i tried to install all patches for civ4 1.09 - 1.52 - 1.61 but the result is the same ... i tried with harkonnen patch but the game still crash... i tried with warlord extension but the game crash .

I've a Pc sempron 2800+ with 512mb RAM and Ati RAEDON 9200 SE
OS Windows XP sp2

Someone can help me?

The game unfortunately has trouble with ATI video cards - especially with older models.

You definitely want to run with the latest patch.

Try lowering your graphics settings. I am not sure what will work best for you. Try experimenting.
You should definitely not set Wonder Movie Quality to higher than "medium", though.

hi! thanks for your reply... I've tried to set the lowest quality in the graphic options, and i've downloaded from the ati website the latest driver and catalyst for my ati, I've tried also to change the graphic card with another ati (7500) but the result is the same. I must try another graphic card (for example nVidia or Intel) but I don't want to get out another money for the same result
