In a patriarchal society, the ways to win women are through beauty, accomplishment abd money. Beauty is short-lived and never reliable. So some males make art and literature and philosophy, and perhaps gain a fortune. Other males discover that the fortune alone is enough. The two strike preemptively against each other by supressong literature, art and philosophyl or be supressing those who have acquired fortunees. Some men and women stand aside, amused or above it all or just sickened by it, or try to change the rules.

Most, male or female, cannot rise above the game and are eager to partake of the glorious and tainted results.

In the end, all camps fall back in exhaustion, but the battle is never over.

Penvzila indeed enjoys inciting riot.

Any way here's some of mine:

"No one is unique. You are the same scum that was here yesterday and you will be the same scum tomorrow. You are nothing special. No amount of love or education will ever make you anything more than what you are (physically). You are a person, just like everyone else you know. There is no "I was drunk" or "temporarily insane." You are repsonsible for everything you do, whether you remember it or not. You are free, but must pay the consequences for everything. Someday you will die; and when you die you should have a smile on your face. Death hates smiles."

Oh and:

"Women are the most beautiful creatures on Earth."

My Philosophy is rather simple:
"Live life to the fullest and never think twice."
and
"Every person on this earth is uniqe and should be treated as one."

And one more - annihilate all spammers

You can only police people to the extent that they want to be policed. A good example of this is the indebted farmers of Bacon county who grow marijuana to feed their familys and pay off farm equipment. They get arrested all the time, but no jury from that area would ever convict their peers!

I totally agree w\Bluemoday on his comment about responsibility for ones action. When someone gets drunk and kills a family, and then says 'I had too much to drink, and I had no idea what was going on.' Too bad, when they decide to drink they take on MORE responsibility, just because there is a chemicle inside you shouldn't dismiss the fact that it is inside YOU. In most cases, they know thier limits and should therefor not cross them. And one more attemted blowoff of responsibility is the old 'Well, hey, look what she was wearing... she was asking for it.' That is the lowest anyone can go. It's sad really.

SunTzu was right.....it's spam. And posting a one liner and then adding your views right after was something I warned Siny and Ninny Man Jr. about.

Don't hate me because I enforce the guidlines. And it's just a warning...not a mark on your permenant record.

So lets all chill and have a .

HEY!! THIS TOPIC IS FOUR MONTHS OLD!!! Meaning i posted that one liner in FEBRUARY.

Besides, I think the meaning of the topic was interpreted quite nicely by those who replied to it. I'm not the one who steered it off course.

Exactly. In a forum so full of drinkers, I'm probably going to take a lot of heat for saying this, but here goes.

My opinion is, if a person gets drunk, and he gets behind the wheel of a car, and the death of another person results from it, he should be tried for first-degree murder.

Why first-degree? Because he intentionally got drunk. Nobody 'accidentally' gets drunk, unless they are new to drinking, don't know their limits, and are not exercising enough sense to be able to stop anyway. Therefore they were intentionally driving drunk.

"But," I hear somebody saying, "they were too drunk to be able to be trusted with the decision to get behind the wheel, so they aren't responsible for it." Thank you for mentioning that, somebody. My point exactly. They did not have the sense to stop drinking before they reached that point; furthermore, they drank that much when they knew there was a danger they might be driving. Getting totally smashed at home and passing out on the floor in front of the couch is one thing. Getting totally smashed at a party or at a bar, or at home when you do not plan to stay there, is quite another. Because, unless they have a designated driver, they will be driving themselves. And they knew they might, or would, when they got totally smashed, therefore they were, in my view, intentionally driving drunk. So if they kill someone while doing that, it should be considered first-degree murder.

That's my philosophy on the subject of drinking and driving. It's probably rather biased, and I don't pretend I'm not going to be flamed for it. "I mean," someone else says, "if a doctor is performing surgery and his patient dies, should he be considered guilty of first-degree murder? After all, he was intentionally performing surgery, so. . . ." I know, but I have to think that's different. For me, the alcohol is the deciding factor. Everyone knows that getting drunk destroys your sense of judgment, yet people insist on getting drunk anyway. Then many of them do things simply because they are unfit to judge it too dangerous. I consider that to be their fault, because they knew when they decided to get drunk that their judgment would go all to hell. If they could use more moderation, these things wouldn't happen.

My two cents.

(Ducks to avoid the flying controversy.)

*Points at Loaf* "Yeah, what he said!!!"

Driving is not a right, so why can't we get tougher on the laws.

First time caught driving drunk= 1 year suspension.

Second time= 5 year suspension

Third time= Life time suspension.

That would make people think twice about getting behind the wheel. But the problem is that sometimes it only takes one time of driving drunk to cause a tragedy.

My life philosophy is "Nullo Impedimentum"

No problem. It is as easy as that.

The reason its not first degree murder is because the killing of the person was not intentional, meaning Manslaughter or maybe 2nd degree murder. Manslaughter 1 is 25 to life so you know, 25 years is alot of time also!
Whats the point of this certain topic right now? I woujld like someone to start a legal topic its fun
