advice to beginers
Do not go to war first thing especialy if the enemy is more powerful then you
If you bribe another civ to go to war with a civ you are at war most likely they will make you do all the work and will make peace imediatly |

Gonna disagree with you here. Sometimes a war right away can be profitable, such as to steal a worker, or take an AI capital, possibly undefended depending on the difficulty. And I also frequently go to war with people somewhat stronger than I am. Maybe not those with a tech advantage, but certainly with those who have a larger military.

Great article. I just have to add that pants are best worn when dry, books don't read themselves, and a city built on rock and roll would be structuraly unsound.

Well THAT explains what I have been doing wrong. Next time I will build TWO spearmen before attackng the SoD. Unless they have tanks, when one should be more than enough.
I think the OP just tried to gang up on a more powerful AI and it didn't go as planned. he got his butt kicked and he is so bitter he actually made a CivFantatics account so he could save us from making the same mistake. His mistake was not that he bribed sdomeone to go to war....but that he joined the war. |

I'd say the trick to going against a more powerful foe is focusing your efforts. If they have more land thats more area to defend. Merely take your army and concentrate it at a weak point along the border. If you can get an ally to attack from the other side even better. Divide and conquer, or at the very least pillage
