About the unit itself, I was thinking: where does she keep her arrows ? She needs a quiver! Looks good otherwise.

Very impressive !!! A quiver with bolts and a little bit modified death animation - and this unit will be one of greatest I have ever seen. !!!

She Looks Great Mzm...I agree that a quiver for the arrows is needed and speeding up the Death Fall with minor modifications would add a special touch as well. Love the subtle movements and well animated actions

This unit took 10 days to me for its realization. During this time I made some researches on crossbow and its use.
Quiver "problem": according to books I read, an expertised crossbow-man took over a minute to reload his weapon. So, imo, the real question about this unit should be: "How can she reload it in one second?". This big incoherence put the "quiver problem" in secondary position. ![]() Death "problem": the in-game speed of that animation is more quickly than preview. I tested the unit in game and it seemed correct to me, so I post it. I used the frames-timing of the standard Warrior unit. To Stormrage: I made the crossbow and warhat by myself with Anim8or. I posted them in download section and you can find the link in post #3. Mzm |

Disregard this..I see the file is still in the Moderation Queue and I guess it is unavailable for download yet.
Says I cannot download this file. I downloaded two yesterday and have downloaded hundreds in the past. I notice that it has only one download so far... craig77, you do not have permission to access this page. It's working fine for me. I don't know if this because (a) it's now working fine for everyone, or (b) I'm special. If there is a problem I'm not sure what would be causing it, so I hope it's (a). Is anyone else downloading it OK?
This is a really nice unit. I like the slightly coquettish movement of the leg during the Default, and all the actions look smooth and realistic. Perhaps there could have been slightly more recoil during the Attack, but it doesn't really matter. One problem: the Victory begins and ends with the Fortify position. In fact it ought to begin and end with the Default position if it's to play smoothly in-game. (For some reason everyone always makes Victory animations begin with the Fortify position and end in the Default position, because that's how the Firaxis unit animations are done, but in-game victorious units actually revert instantly to the Default animation while the enemy unit dies and only then play the Victory.) However, I doubt that many people would notice this in-game.
